Two Target Must Haves

Hello Summer! Who’s ready to embrace the South Georgia heat in style? I know I am. Today, I found two summer essentials that are a must have for any summer activity you have planned. Both of these items were found at my local target but they also can be purchased online.

Starting with my favorite, I found these Wild Fable light wash, frayed denim shorts. Obsessed is a understatement, they are the softest material ever! They are perfect to dress up or down for any occasion. I was very pleased with Target’s selection of denim shorts thus far. Not only were their styles adorable but their prices were super affordable. These were only $17! Grab you a pair, here. I hate for my shorts to fit tight but I also don’t want them to look saggy. These hug you in all the right places. I usually go up a size in shorts because of how I like them to fit. But I had to go up two sizes from my normal size in this brand.

The second thing I bought was this Panama hat in brown, it’s also available in black. I’m not really a hat person but I’m dying over it! It would be perfect for all year around. This hat is just a fun way to add a little boho look to any outfit. You can shop this hat here.

Amazon Fashion Finds

Lately, I have been obsessed with little spaghetti strapped tank tops for the summer. They are perfect to dress up or down in the South Georgia heat. This week I found the cutest striped, button down tank from Amazon for only $17! If you’re not a fan of stripes, it is also available in many solid colors. I paired this tank with black skinny jeans for a night out on the town.

This tank top ran true to size and I was impressed with how well it was made. The only thing I would change about this tank would be the material. The picture provided on amazon made the tank look more of a rayon material, which is my favorite for summer because it’s super light. When I received it, it was 95% polyester. Overall, it’s still great quality and super cute though, especially for the price I paid!

Shopping with SHEIN. Fab or Fake?

Today I’m bringing you an honest review of SHEIN, and how I picked my items on the SHEIN app. Let’s get started!

Honestly, when looking on the website I was a little bit hesitant about ordering from this company. But after reading many reviews and being a sucker for a good deal, I decided to give it a try.

Summer is beginning and I love having MANY swimsuit options. This company has swimsuit sets starting at $10.00! Yes, you read that right. So, for my first purchase from Shein I ordered 2 swimsuits. Now, I already know what styles I like and what styles I don’t like. I chose 2 swimsuits that have the bandeau top and high waisted bottoms, both sets were $13! When they finally arrived in the mail I had high hopes because when I unpacked them they were so cute. I’m happy to say, I was not disappointed. They fit true to size and the quality is actually pretty decent. I’ve already worn one to the beach and I received many compliments.

After, being so pleased with my swimsuits I had purchased I decided to test out their blouse selection and grab a new tank top for the start of summer. Once again I was pleased with my purchase! I snagged the cutest python printed cami for only $7! This little tank was perfect for date night and I can see myself wearing it multiple times. The quality is amazing and it fits true to size.

Worried about your sizing? I was too. I would recommend shopping under the “Best Sellers” tab on their app. When you find something you like read the reviews, thoroughly. Honesty is the best policy. I also compared the measurements that the website provided with my measurements I took on myself. Unfortunately, this website does have the potential to be a hit or miss so thankfully you can return anything back to the website and receive a refund.

Overall, I am impressed with my purchases from SHEIN and I will continue to stop with them. I hope you’ll try it out too! Happy shopping!

Beauty on a Budget

Lets be real, every girl is guilty for watching hours on end of YouTube makeup tutorials by our favorite makeup artists. Jacklyn Hill, Jeffree Star, and Kelsey Martin are a few of my favorites that I am obsessed with. They mostly use the top dollar products like Too Faced, Urban Decay, Fenty Beauty, and the list goes on. Don’t get me wrong it is fun to splurge on those luxury brands, but for this struggling college student it is impossible to afford expensive makeup for every day wear.

I have gone through my fair share of beauty products to find low cost products that give you high dollar results. Here are the products I swear by, that wont break your bank but still give you a flawless look for your every day makeup routine.

We will start with my favorite foundation that I just recently discovered, and it is a must have for my every day makeup routine. It is the Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Foundation. My skin as always been very dry and usually soaks up every foundation I have every tried. Lucky, this foundation sets very well on my face and is actually very hydrating to my skin. I love this because it gives me complete coverage but is still very light and doesn’t leave my skin looking cakey. For reference I wear shade F5 during the summertime because I do tan pretty easily. I purchased this foundation at Ulta, it retails for $12.00.

Next, my favorite primer will have to be the Essence Prime+Studio Redness Correcting Primer. I do have a lot of redness in my T zone area so this primer helps a lot with helping me cover that up. The green clay mineral pigments help to neutralize the look of redness. It primes skin for a smooth canvas, and more even makeup application. The best part about this product, it is only $4.99! This product can also be purchased at Ulta.

Essence is a brand I recently found so, I have quite a few of their products and have been pleased with them thus far. Which brings me to my new product by them, Get Big! Lashes mascara in Triple Black. And yes I swear this mascara is just as good, if not better than Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara. The brush on this mascara leaves my lashes full of volume and density. I purchased this mascara from Ulta and it retails for $3.99!

Moving on to my favorite concealer. I know every makeup guru if familiar with Tarte’s shape tape concealer and how flawlessly it applies for the perfect under eye brightening. This is probably the only product I will spend a little money on, but it is also worth the money because it lasts for a long time so you defiantly get what you pay for. I wear shade Fair Neutral and always purchase this product at Ulta. This product retails for $27.00.

Up next, is my favorite eye shadow palette that I wear every. single. day. My Too Faced Chacolate Bon Bons palette is a must have! It has the perfect pink and brown neutrals that I wear every day. Luckily, I caught this on sale at TJ Maxx for only $29.99. But, it can be found on the Too Faced website retailing for $49.00!

Lastly, my favorite go to nude lip color is Virgin by Morphe. This liquid lipstick is the perfect rosy nude color to transform from day to night. It is pretty good about lasting all day too, which is a plus. This lipstick can be purchased from Morphe or Ulta and retails for only $10.00!
